Accessibility Statement
Last updated 6 October 2026
Every Film Ever is built and run by one person, Lenny Alvarez. The archive should be usable by everyone, including people browsing with a screen reader, with the keyboard only, or with the text enlarged.
Found something you cannot use? Email lenny@lennyal.com with the page and what went wrong. I read every message myself, I will fix what can be fixed, and in the meantime I will send you the information in another format.
What the site aims at
The target is WCAG 2.1 level AA, which is the basis of Israeli standard 5568. The site is tested with the keyboard and with browser zoom, and parts of it have been tested with a screen reader.
What has been done
- Pages are plain semantic HTML, with real headings, lists, tables and links.
- Every film in the archive also has its own simple text page, for example the Portra 400 page. These pages carry the same information as the interactive gallery and work well with assistive technology.
- Packaging photographs carry a text alternative naming the film they show.
- The site can be operated with the keyboard alone, and the element in focus is visible.
- Text can be enlarged in the browser, and the page can be pinch zoomed on a phone, without content being lost.
- No pop ups, no automatic sound, no moving content that cannot be stopped.
What is still missing
- The interactive gallery, the colour filter and the film window are custom built, and not every part of them has been tested with every screen reader.
- Some photographs sent in by contributors have a short text alternative that names the film without describing the design in detail.
- Pages link out to shops and archives run by other people. Their accessibility is not under this site's control.
